The couple married at the Progress Club on Techwood Drive in April 1965. They are the parents of Leon and Scott Alexander and the grandparents of Brandon, Meghan, Caleb and Owen Alexander.■ Engagement Goldberg-Gabriel C ydney and Martin Goldberg of Marietta announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Long Goldberg, to John David Gabriel, son of Carolyn and David Gabriel of Charleston, S.C. Summer is the granddaughter of A. Ervin Goldberg of Atlanta and the late Esther Goldberg. Summer graduated from Washington and Lee University with a double major in business administration and Spanish and earned a juris doctor degree from the Charleston School of Law. She is a trust administrator for The Private Bank in Chicago. John graduated from Clemson University with a degree in business management (supply chain and logistics) and a minor in Spanish.
