Jaida is a professional wrestler. For the record, she is 5-7 tall, she weighs 125 pounds and at the time of this interview, age 23.
What's the timeline from the start of your pro wrestling training to now?
I started January 5, 2014. I did three months of training in the ring, five days a week, and then I took about a month-and-a-half off before my first match on May 31.
In that time I was a valet for PWA (Prairie Wrestling Alliance) and went on to ECCW (Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling) where I was a wrestler and didn't have to valet. I still valet for Brady Malibu, but we had no girls available at PWA. That brings us to now.
What are your goals in wrestling and in your personal life?
I would like to make it to the WWE and inspire people to be super fit and super healthy. I want to be able to open up my own gym, do boot camps, personal training, nutrition, all of that stuff wrapped up in one. It would make it very easy if I was in the WWE and got my name out there for people so that I could do all that online for people all over the world.
What is your athletic background?
In high school I played just about every sport. I didn't wrestle, which is funny. I played soccer, track and field, volleyball, cross country, a little bit of basketball and I swam a bit. Basically everything but wrestling. I was best at soccer. I always played a couple years up for soccer.
For track, I was on a provincial winning 4x100 relay team and 4x400 relay team. I competed in 100, 200, and 400 meters. I did a lot of stuff in track and we were pretty good. I’m a sprinter.
Who are your favorite wrestlers?
The Rock. My favorite all time is The Rock, because not only was he an awesome wrestler, but his personality is so perfect and put together that he could go out there and not wrestle and he's still just as amazing to everyone. Everyone still loves him.
At WrestleMania this year he comes out, he doesn't have to do anything except crush beer and talk to the crowd, and that is the best part of WrestleMania.
For females I would have to say I love Trish, but I was a big Kelly Kelly fan because Kelly Kelly came to Victoria and wrestled. That was the first time I'd ever seen a live match. She did a lot of gymnastics and she is what I want to be - the full package. Really, really attractive but super athletic, down to earth and she does it all. She doesn't just limit herself to wrestling. She's gorgeous. I think everyone likes Kelly Kelly.
This was 2008 or 2007 when I was in high school. I loved wrestling before that, but I saw it live and she was amazing, doing flips off the top rope and cartwheels. I thought, "Oh my God that is so cool."
When and where was your first match and who was your opponent?
My first match with ECCW was May 31, 2014 against Nicole Matthews.
