AmpliVox ’ s Radio Hailer communication system connects to two 2-watt MURS radios . One radio acts as the receiver , the other as the transmitter . The Radio Hailer includes a 50-watt amplifier ; the 11 ” horn speaker delivers 108 dB of clear sound audible over any background noise , as well as a 120dB warning siren . In addition to the radios , users can connect to the amp through wireless microphones or wired mics , available as options .
The Radio Hailer has a battery life of up to 200 hours on 10 D-cell alkaline batteries , or can be powered by optional NiCad batteries . A line-out jack allows the amplifier to connect to a recording device for repetitive instructions and warnings . Tripods , a carrying case and speakers are optional .
