Abousamra was indict-
ed in 2005 for alleged-
ly seeking military
training to kill Ameri-
can soldiers overseas.
The indictment alleged
Abousamra believed
there was religious justi-
fication for suicide bomb-
ings and the glory of
dying on the battlefield.
Abousamra sought to attend terrorist
training camps in Pakistan and trav-
elled with a convicted co-conspirator to
Yemen for the same purpose.
Both attempts were unsuccessful.
On November 5, 2009, a federal arrest war-
rant was issued for Abousamra in the United
States District Court, District of Massachusetts,
after he was charged with conspiracy to pro-
vide material support to terrorists; providing
and attempting to provide material support to
terrorists; conspiracy to kill in a foreign coun-
try; conspiracy; and false statements.
The FBI is offering up to a
$50,000 reward is being of-
fered for information lead-
ing to his capture.
