latory framework to use for ensuring safety un-
der close human-robot interactions in a variety of

Here are some things Sharp has done to in-
still consumer confidence in our product:

FAA Evaluated
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has
evaluated the Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV at a pub-
lic use airport.
It is the only ground-based outdoor security robot
that has successfully completed a performance
review for consistent operation at airports with
the next step being an advisory circular to iden-
tify key airport missions and applications.
MIL-STD 810 Tested
Sharp follows military test standards to replicate
the effect of various environments and conditions
on our outdoor robot.
These standards were designed for Department
of Defense applications and are a generally ac-
cepted guide of “rugged” or “ruggedized” testing.
Subjecting the Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV to such
things as vibration, immersion, temperature ex-
tremes and fog conditions validates the robot’s
design and quality.
