The International Organization for Standard-
ization (ISO) has certified the Sharp INTEL-
LOS A-UGV for safe operation around people.
More specifically, ISO 13482 provides the regu-
latory framework to use for ensuring safety un-
der close human-robot interactions in a variety of
personal care robot applications.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
has evaluated the Sharp INTELLOS A-UGV at
a public use airport.
It is the only ground-based outdoor security robot
that has successfully completed a performance
review for consistent operation at airports with
the next step being an advisory circular to iden-
tify key airport missions and applications.
