In 2018, Quanergy unveiled the S3-2 sensor, an
“all-in-one” 2-beam solid state LiDAR sensor with
Quanergy’s proprietary QORTEX object profiling
software directly embedded.
The S3-2 is tailored for applications
that require people counting and
analytics, queue management and
access control.
In the physical access and security sector, the solu-
tion ensures only authorized personnel enter secure
areas with 99% accuracy as people enter an area with
a security badge.
This solid state sensor was de-
signed specifically with entrance
control in mind and is currently be-
ing used by Orion Entrance Con-
trol in their DoorGuard system.
The S3-2’s lack of moving or vi-
brating parts enables it to perform
with the highest level of reliabil-
ity, longevity, and cost efficiency
while requiring less power, and it’s
compact design, enables it to be
