David Kendix
David has been the England scorer at Lord ' s for the past 22 years, having previously scored for Middlesex. He also developed and maintains the ICC official team rankings for international cricket and has been a member of the ICC Cricket Committee, with particular responsibility for drafting playing regulations. David will talk about his scoring career and the role of the Test match scorer, as well as his wider involvement in cricket administration. He will be happy to take questions from the audience.
Stuart Cummings MBE, former Rugby Football League( RFL) Match Officials Director and international referee
Stuart will talk about aspiring to top-class officiating. Following Stuart’ s talk, he will be joined on stage by ECB Umpires’ Manager Chris Kelly for an extended Q & A.
Digital Scoring Solutions – Making Cricket Even Better: CricHQ
The cricket scorer has always been at the epicentre of a cricket match. Now scorers all over the world are transitioning to digital, utilising technology and becoming even more valuable to the cricket organisations they score for.
Robert Croft, right-handed batter and off-break bowler for England and Glamorgan
Following an excellent Q & A at Wales ACO’ s 2015 conference, we’ re delighted that Robert will regale his best anecdotes and his more recent experiences as a head coach. Robert draws from a whole range of cricketing experiences which include becoming Sir Vivian Richards’ man-servant and learning some bowling‘ tricks of the trade’ from Waquar Younis. His coaching techniques would have been enhanced from serving under the likes of David Lloyd and Duncan Fletcher. More recently, Robert has been invited to South Africa with the full England team to act as white ball tactical coach.
Former England international Robert Croft
England scorer David Kendix
Scorers’ Forum: Sue Drinkwater, Scorer Education Manager and Sue Jones, National Scorers’ Officer
The 2012 and 2014 Scorers’ Forums were a huge success. So this year it is back and it stands as a place where you, as the scorer, can have your say and suggest ideas for ECB ACO in future. What do you want, or what needs to be done?
