ABPCO 6 June 2018 “Whatever type of PCO or supplier you are, it should be your focus to make your event the best it possibly can be” It shines through in the details as much as the overall experience and it is what we must all strive for in our association events. It doesn’t matter what budget you are working to or the limitations of what you can offer, excellence is knowing you have done everything possible to make the most of what you have and delivered to the absolute best of your professional ability. You said, so we have planned! Survey shows ABPCO delivers on membership needs as explained by ABPCO association director, Heather Lishman The most important thing for any association or business, is to understand its customer expectations. ABPCO’s annual engagement survey helps it to understand precisely what members value, and always gives us excellent ammunition to learn what we can do better. It really is a catalyst for improvement; a platform for change. This year we changed the questions to really get to grips with how our purpose and values are perceived by the membership, and how we can develop these for the future. The results demonstrated ongoing success and a high level of satisfaction among our members, as can also be evidenced by the ongoing growth in membership and the exceptional retention figures. The feedback was used to review the association’s plans and strategy for the year ahead during the annual executive board meeting. ABPCO’s decision to join forces with Mash Media to deliver bespoke content for AEM is just one of our plans for the next year. Among others is a decision to create a member-centric website with far greater membership resources, including wider learning opportunities. This investment will be supported by fresh campaigning across topics of interest to the whole industry; fresh video content; new industry partnerships and an ongoing, focused and relevant education programme. Findings in the survey showed: • 90% believe ABPCO achieves its purpose of enabling human enrichment • 92% believe ABPCO values excellence and delivers on its desire to lead industry best practice. • 73% believe ABPCO values learning and encourages knowledge sharing. • 72% believe ABPCO values belonging and connects its members. • 71% gave a 9 or 10/10 when asked how likely they are to recommend ABPCO. The results demonstrate ABPCO is truly delivering for members, which is ultimately the greatest measure of our success.
