Nadim Nassif
World ranking of Countries in Elite Sport
Nadim Nassif is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Education and Physical
Education in the Faculty of Humanities at Notre-Dame University - Louaize, Lebanon. He is the Academic
Advisor of the Physical Education and Sports program and from 2013 to 2017 he served as the Director
of the FIFA / CIES Sports Management Program at NDU. He holds a BA in Physical Education from
the University of Balamand (Lebanon), the FIFA / CIES Master in Sports Management, a Mphil in Sport
History (DeMontfort University, UK) and a PhD in Sports Sociology in Joseph Fourier University in
Grenoble, France.
He is also a national futsal and MMA coach and serves as consultant for several national and international
federations.
His research interests include sport history, coaching, sports management, sports sociology and sport
governance. His objective through this multidisciplinary approach is to identify a theoretical model that
includes the macro, meso and micro factors that determine the performance of countries in elite sport.
