Fetsi Mbele Public Private Partnerships Fetsi Mbele graduated from Grey College Bloemfontein with matriculation in 1999. Post matric he pursued his passion of travel by studying a Travel Diploma at the Travel Training Institute in 2000 – 2001. However his passion of marketing, sport and sponsorship was still burning within him. He then enrolled to study marketing with IMM while travelling the world after he started Ulonwabo Toure with his business partners. He is currently obtaining his BBA with IMM. Fetsi Mbele’s marketing and sponsorship career took off when in 2009 he started work at a Sports Agency - Matchworld, where he was Account Manager for the Coca-Cola Account responsible for implementing and leveraging Coca-Cola’s sponsorship of the 2009 FIFA Confed Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was then tasked with a role as Business Director for Matchworld in 2011, where he lead the sponsorship department that involved accounts such as Coca-Cola (Football, Rugby, Cricket and Consumer Campaigns) and ABSA (Rugby). In 2012 he was appointed Tour Director of the 2012 Manchester United Tour of South Africa, where he led discussions with Manchester United on the SA Tour as well as potential partners and sponsors in SA, ensuing that the tour was successful. In 2012-2013 he was appointed as a Board Member for Megapro Holding where he spent a year before moving to the corporate world. In 2013 he joined Coca-Cola South Africa as Marketing Assets Manager responsible for Coca-Cola sponsorship across all beverage categories, also tasked with rights holder relations like SARU, Cricket SA, SASFA, Cape Town Cycle Tour, Old Mutual Two Oceans Race, Comrades Marathon. 2015 -2017 he assumed the role of Head of Sponsorship and Brand Experience for Coca-Cola Africa, which comprised of 13 countries (Southern and East Africa Markets), before joining ABInBev as Sponsorship Manager for the Central Division covering Southern, East and West Africa.
