About the Hong Kong Sports Institute ( HKSI )
The Hong Kong Sports Institute Limited ( HKSI ) was established on 1 October 2004 . The aim of the HKSI is to provide an environment in which sport talent can be identified , nurtured and developed to pursue excellence in sport . Other than sports facilities , the support given to athletes includes elite coaching and training , sports science , sports medicine , strength and conditioning , athlete affairs and education , applied research and sports information . Vision
Guided by the Government ’ s current policy direction , and using its professional expertise in elite sport , the HKSI ’ s vision is to become the region ’ s elite training systems delivery leader by providing state-of-the-art , evidencebased , elite sports training and athlete support systems resulting in sustainable world-class sports results .
Mission
In its role as the Government ’ s elite sport training systems delivery agent , the HKSI is committed to working in partnership with the Government , the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong , China , the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and the National Sports Associations to provide an environment in which sports talent can be identified , nurtured , and developed to pursue excellence in the international sporting arena .

The HKSI holds that sport constitutes a fundamental social institution central to fostering a stronger value of national identity and to achieving public health goals of healthy , productive , united communities . About the Forum
The ASPC XII International Forum on Elite Sport ( Forum ) enhancing “ Elite Sports – Asian Perspectives and Development ” will take place at the Hong Kong Sports Institute ( HKSI ) in Hong Kong from 4 to 6 December 2024 ( Wednesday – Friday ). Due to pandemic scenario , the 12th edition of the forum was postponed from 2021 to 2024 .
For its 12th Anniversary , the prestigious international Forum on Elite Sport is coming to Hong Kong , the Events Capital of Asia . With a proud history of hosting top international forum and conference , HKSI would make the XII edition of the ASPC Forum a success . The Forum will be opened to sport professionals , students , coaches , athletes , National Sports Associations , Universities and Organizations related to sport science and sport industry around the world .
The Forum will cover keynote presentations , workshops and panel discussions on various topics related to sports such as integrating performance , leadership and management models in Sports , Athletes ’ Development , and Major Games etc . Click here for the latest program rundown .
The Forum offers a truly unique opportunity for participants to engage with High Performance Training Centres from across the globe . It serves as a platform for Asian and global sport leaders to communicate and exchange ideas on their leadership approaches and successful experiences in scientific high performance training .
