ATHLETE365 TO LAUNCH NEW LEARNING COURSES IN 2023

This year , Athlete365 is expanding the number of interactive online courses available to its athlete and entourage community on coaching techniques , building positive social media habits , and many more areas crucial to their development on and off the field of play .
Athlete365 is a community focused on making athletes ’ lives better by offering empowering , exciting and inspiring content and expert-led resources on key topics like mental health , personal branding and career transition . Among these resources include the wide range of interactive courses available through Athlete365 Learning , an online platform that allows athlete and entourage members to choose and complete courses at their own pace , and receive specialist insight and advice from Athlete365 ’ s team of experts on the areas that matter most to them .
For example , a new “ Sleep to Compete ” course was launched to coincide with World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2022 , explaining how good quality sleep positively supports well-being and performance . Athletes who completed the course came away with strategies and techniques they could immediately put into practice . Other existing courses cover topics such as athlete entrepreneurship , sport psychology , and understanding sports injuries .
Catering to all members of the community Building on this support to athletes and entourage members , Athlete365 Learning will be launching a series of new courses throughout 2023 , covering topics such as financial literacy , social media and mental health , and how athletes can use their platform to give back to the community . The “ Olympism365 : Athletes Giving Back ” course is scheduled to launch on 6 April 2023 , when the Olympic Movement will come together to celebrate the International Day of Sport and Development for Peace , and is linked to the IOC ’ s Olympism365 strategy that seeks to strengthen the position of sport in society .
The new “ Mindful Social Media ” course will explore the consequences of social media on athletes ’ mental health and well-being . Designed in collaboration with leading experts , it will look at how athletes can learn to recognise and understand the signs that they may need to change their digital habits , while offering a range of strategies and techniques to encourage more mindful use of social media , and advice on where to go for support .
In the second half of the year entourage members will be able to complete a new course on a “ Holistic Approach to Coaching ”. This course emphasises the importance of athletes ’ psychological , social and emotional needs , and how a coach can tailor his or her style to ensure these aspects are covered in any training and recovery plans . This adds to the comprehensive sports coaching course already available , as Athlete365 continues to expand its support for those working behind the scenes with elite athletes .
The learning platform will also host educational courses on safeguarding and the prevention of competition manipulation designed specifically for the young athletes heading to Gangwon , Republic of Korea , in January 2024 for the 4th Winter Youth Olympic Games .
IOC Mental Health Toolkit
The IOC Mental Health Toolkit , developed in collaboration with the IOC Mental Health Working Group and Virtual Task Force comprised of representatives from IFs , NOCs and IOC Athletes ’ Entourage Commission members is now available on Athlete365 . The toolkit provides advice , guidance and resources to help foster psychologically safe athletic environments for elite athletes . It covers the diverse requirements of sports organisations and individuals involved in the Olympic Movement including IFs , NOCs , entourage members , healthcare professionals athletes , and other stakeholders .
