From the Editor ’ s Desk
Welcome to the 7th edition of the ASPC Update .
Much has happened since our last edition :
• The Hong Kong Forum was postponed due to COVID-19 and will now be taking place in December 2024 , with the theme of Enhancing Elite Sports . Please see the advert inside this edition .
• The dates for the Paris Forum have been confirmed : The XIIth International Forum on Elite Sport will be hosted by INCEP from 3 – 6 October 2023 , with the theme of Leadership and Ethics .
• A comprehensive strategic planning process for the ASPC has been completed , a summary of our strategic plan is included in this edition .
• Task Teams for Membership Engagement and Growth , Environmental Sustainability , International Relations , Marketing and Sponsorship and Governance have been established and Task Team meetings have commenced .
• The ASPC will be employing a member of staff who will assist the ASPC Executive and Board with the delivery of the strategic plan and of services to members . There has been an increase in membership fees to assist in covering this cost .
Thank you to everyone who has contributed of their time and expertise to make this all possible . The ASPC is stronger than ever and there is much to look forward to .
Thank you to Babak and his team who have put together an outstanding program for the Paris Forum with a strong focus on Leadership . There will be many interactive sessions and networking opportunities at the Forum as well as insights into the 2024 Paris Olympics .
We hope to see many of you there .
This will be a great event for the leaders of Olympic Training and High Performance Centres and it will be the first time that we have met in person as an Association since the Forum XI in Barcelona .

The IOC ’ s Athlete 365 program is producing excellent short courses for Athletes . Look out for their article on the Athlete 365 Mindful Social Media course and IOC Mental Health Toolkit . Thank you to the IOC for their collaboration and for supplying us with the beautiful images in our magazines .
