ASPC Update June 2026 | Page 5

The European webinar series has successfully continued monthly, featuring a wide range of topics presented by our European members. We are pleased to open up this exchange to members from other continents as well. In addition, several further initiatives are currently underway, including strengthening our collaboration with the IOC, developing and expanding partnerships with our potential sponsors, and updating our website.
We will keep you informed on these developm ents. Last but certainly not least, I would like to express my special gratitude to Josep Escoda. Josep has played a key role in building the ASPC, and without his work as Secretary General, we would not be where we are today. With his retirement, Josep has concluded his role at CAR Sant Cugat. He will continue to serve as Secretary General until the General Assembly in autumn, and we are very pleased that he will remain involved in our work in an advisory capacity, sharing his invaluable experience.
With the upcoming elections to the Executive Board, there will be changes in personnel across various positions. We will shortly publish calls for applications for positions up for election, and we warmly welcome your interest and candidacies.
This has been an update packed with information, and I would like to conclude by expressing how meaningful and special the collaboration within ASPC is to me. In times increasingly shaped by crises and conflicts, we as a sporting community set an example of how cooperation can transcend national borders and individual interests.
Thank you all for your commitment and dedication. I very much look forward to our continued collaboration and the projects ahead.
Warm regards, Harry Bähr President, ASPC
