Within the show, the dancing ballerina wearing the pure white dress at the beginning get on a carousel and robotic arms spay her with green and black paint in a gruesome way (the beauty of the show was the twist). He has always said that he rather people come out of his show and vomit then have no reaction at all which would give him a feeling of accomplishment.

Within a dark and gloomy room sat at glass square-based triangle with a video of the beautiful Kate Moss in layers of silk and organza that was believe to be a hologram but it was actually the 1900s trick of ‘Pepper’s Ghost’, with music from Schinder’s list playing in the background. It felt as if Kate Moss was a ghost that shows his fascination with the afterlife and death coming back immortalized.

Romantic Exoticism collection is displayed as a ballerina’s music box that is had as a child but instead there is mannequins with garments with influences from the Far East. . I felt as if he had a large amount of joy reinventing

the kimono as I saw numerous alterations from the original ancient Chinese design. Towards the end of the show, its finally was a glass mirrored box with the panels of glass gradually moving towards the ground and brake. In the centre is a women slightly overweight women covered in moths breathing through a gas mask is exposed, it shocked models, editors and journalist as it challenges what they believe in, ‘fashion’s greatest fear’. The use of juxtaposition is insane how it was possible to use in fashion putting what western culture believe is beauty next to the unconventional beauty.

Romantic Naturalism show his skill as an artist, the perfect amalgamation of nature and fashion as one. With ambient music of nature following throughout collection challenging the perception of femininity and what the idea shape should be.

Romantic Gothic explores the history of the dark ages with the amalgamation of animal feathers

and the human body. As his last collection, it makes you think what was going through his mind at the time to make something quite dark happen. After his collection was complete

McQueen committed suicide. Was it the pressure? Personal life? The fashion industry?

McQueen wasn’t alive to see his work in his fashion show. Immortality?

The last collection shown in this exhibition was called Platas Atlantis. This collection challenges the theory of evolution as if life under water is conceptualized through his collection.
