Within both businesses, what the employees and the suppliers’ aims and objectives create a large amount of contrast. These contrasting factors would impact the aims and influences of what each stakeholder group would need.
Depending on your relationship and profits, the suppliers can decide whether they want to raise prices of orders which would impact the profits as a business. Also, if the reliability is an aims of the retailer and not the supplier it may affect the rate of production meaning orders won’t arrive on time and the products will not be available for the consumer to purchase. If the suppliers adapt credit terms at short notice, the retailer may find it difficult to correct their cash flow which may cause issues for the retailer. Allowing discounts for bulk orders for loyal customer (businesses).
Both the suppliers for each retailer wants the company to have good sales from the products that the business would become a returning customers to them creating a loyalty. Overall, All Saints and ASOS suppliers have the same aims and objectives as stakeholders (wanting the retail business to also keep them with a degree of security and honoured contacts/
deals).
An employee’s behaviour, attitude, mood and aims effects a retail business. They can influence the success of the business as their daily productivity and efficiency on the job is as if they are ‘on stage’. It is important to keep employees happy as bad working conditions, pay or polices can lead to sit-ins, strikes and individuals quitting. While also wanting to earn high wages and keep jobs (if possible).
At ASOS their employees are strictly in head office as they do not have any bricks and mortar store due to being an online store. The employees of ASOS (working in head office) are able to put across their aims and objectives as they would most likely be working closely to those higher up.
However, At All Saints employees work in head office or a bricks and mortar store. Employees working in the bricks and mortar store may find difficulty getting their aims, objectives and needs across which may affect their working environment (may only be seen if store is flagged with a problem). Employees working head office may be working closely with individuals higher up meaning aims, objectives and needs may be addressed.
