ASM has deployed VenueShield , its comprehensive and industry-leading reopening program . The protocols and procedures are being activated in various stages worldwide at more than 325 of their venues , providing the highest levels of safety , security , and consumer confidence , in alignment with approvals from local government officials and health care experts .
Pillars of legacy
Legacy is now the key to all conference and exhibition organisers , and in response ASM has factored three key pillars into their event delivery : community , sustainability , and diversity and inclusion .
Beyond the obvious positive impact on the cities and towns in which they operate , ASM Global works with its partner landlords , local authorities , sponsors , and customers to support local communities and charities and to raise awareness of their initiatives . On matters relating to sustainability , ASM is in the process of appointing Green Champions at each venue , who will be responsible for identifying opportunities , encouraging participation in initiatives , and sharing best practice across the group .
The operator also regularly reviews its energy contracts and since October 2019 has purchased all its energy on a green tariff or renewable energy contract basis .
Since January 2019 , they have ensured that all venue waste goes to Materials Recovery Facilities to be separated and re-used , meaning that no waste from their venues goes to landfill .
Reducing inequalities is key to ensuring that no one is left behind or treated unfairly . ASM says it wants to create opportunities for all and to foster an inclusive culture which will not tolerate any form of discrimination .
