London ’ s most iconic arena has a new name and a vision for a carbon free future
T he newly named OVO Arena Wembley is London ’ s most iconic arena .
As the best-connected arena in the capital , it is within easy reach for up to 16.5m customers annually .

It ’ s a firm favourite with production agencies where the venue ’ s flexibility allows the delivery of conferences and events for major UK corporate businesses . With a reputation for running major televised awards , and supported by excellent catering , the OVO Arena has a strong reputation for large scale banqueting and parties . The venue , formerly known as the SSE Wembley Arena hosted 157 performances in 2018 , including the world premiere of the Golden Globe winning film Bohemian Rhapsody in October .
Queen legends Brian May and Roger Taylor walked the red carpet alongside stars of the film including Rami Malek , Lucy Boyton , Gwilym Lee , Ben Hardy , and 6,500 fans were welcomed to the iconic venue to celebrate the release of Bohemian Rhapsody , walking the red carpet alongside Joe Mazzello , Allen Leech , Aidan Gillen , Mike Myers , producer Graham King and Prior to the show Chris Green , managing director Twentieth Century Fox UK , said : “ The venue is perfect for showcasing the show-stopping performances in the film .”
Transformation
There was a huge transformation of the Arena Square , showcasing the possibilities externally as well as internally . Executed perfectly with attention to detail , the production changed the exterior of the venue front . This area has also previously been used as an extension of events taking place inside to create marketplaces , networking areas and breakout spaces which work especially well in the warmer months .

Having been at the forefront of the music and live entertainment world for 90 years , this renowned Grade II listed building can cater for all types of corporate events . The versatile space can be used as a full auditorium for large scale events or as a draped short hall creating a blank canvas ballroom . The venue changed its name from the SSE Arena Wembley in February after partnering with OVO Energy as they aim “ for a carbon-free future ”.
