SPACEX MAKES HISTORY
After working for a year and failing twice,
Spacex move into the limelight again.
After attempting to land a rocket and failing twice during the months
of January and April, Spacex has successfully landed its Falcon 9
rocket upright on solid ground at Cape Canaveral, Florida yesterday
evening. Spacex was able to get the rocket to fly up to space and
come back and gently touch the ground thereby landing. This is a
huge step towards reusable rockets. Most of rockets used now days
go into space and get lost or just burns in the atmosphere, but by
using reusable rockets, Spacex shall be able to reduce the cost of
space travel drastically. However this is not the first time a rocket has
landed back into Earth, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos private spacecraft
company Blue Origin announced in November that it New Shepard
rocket landed back on Earth successfully. However the major
difference is that the New Shepard just went 62 miles above the
Earth while the Falcon 9 went a staggering 124 miles above the
Earth.
