LIGHT IS REFRESHINGLY TASTY

And here goes a project of our Asian cuisine lecture class, and it was not surprising that we end up having a lot of fun, "busog na bonding is masaya". We were thinking of something Asian, of course, then we thought of eating at Banana Leaf and Pho Hoa, and where are both of these located? at the TriNoma Mall, Quezon City. And just a brief description of both, Banana Leaf is a multi-awarded International restaurant, while Pho Hoa is a fast-casual Vietnamese restaurant.

As for our first destination, we ate at "Pho Hoa", and we ordered, Bahn mi, Beef Pho, Fresh Spring Rolls, among others, I immediately fell in love with their bottomless Beef Pho, not only it taste light and refreshing but also the soup is refillable, and it would be better if the thin slices of beef and perfectly cooked noodles would be unlimited as well, overall everything complimented the whole dish, from the fresh basil and beans sprouts to the noodles and beef slices to pour in the stock, I must say it is an healthier option. Not to mention their Fresh Spring Rolls along with its peanut sauce is a must-try! Now, I am craving for it again. The ingredients like vermicelli, lettuce, chicken strips, shrimp, and cucumber, dipped in their peanut sauce which by the way their recipe is here:

After which, another establishment that surely satisfied my taste bud is "Banana Leaf", and we had their Thai Cuisine and ordered Beef curry, Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Roti, Tetarik, among others. One dish that stands out is their Pad Thai, its combination of light not overpowering flavors gave the whole dish a 9. I like the balance of sweet, sour, spicy, nutty, shrimp flavor and most especially the shredded ukoy to top it of.
