Mukul Devichand & Angela Saini
Mukul Devichand born in Wales, UK, is a presenter for BBC Radio 4, for programmes including
Crossing Continents, Analysis, From Our Own Correspondent and The Report. His journalistic
career began in the streets of Cairo in the weeks following September 11, 2001. In 2004 he
began his career at BBC Current Affairs in London. He is a graduate of the London School of
Economics and married Angela Saini in 2009.
Angela Saini
Angela Saini is a British science journalist and author. Her first book Geek Nation: How Indian
Science is Taking Over the World was published on 3 March 2011 to acclaim. Angela is a former
reporter for BBC London News and an ITN news trainee. She has been published in Science,
Wired, The Guardian and New Scientist and is a frequent presenter on BBC radio. She has a
Masters degree in engineering science from the University of Oxford.
Parmjit & Helen Dhaliwal
Parmjit & Helen Dhaliwal created the Red Hot World Buffet restaurant chain in 2004. The duo,
who have grown the all-you-can-eat operator into a seven-strong chain, employ 725 people
and have a turnover of £20 million per annum. In 2012, Risk Capital Partners acquired a majority
holding in the restaurant group for an undisclosed sum to help it expand to new sites. Parmjit is
a veteran of the restaurant industry having bought and exited from Shimla Pinks and Jimmy’s
Spices prior to setting up Red Hot World Buffet restaurant chain.
