Resilient systems are flexible , capable of responding to changes . Resilient people are also those who are able to “ roll with the punches ”, able to adapt , to evolve , to learn , and to channel the inherent potential of unexpected circumstances .
Change is , famously , the only constant , and yet many of the changes we are seeing in the natural world today can seem frightening and overwhelming . But , hope remains .
If , as individuals , we can also embrace change on a personal level , if we can “ be the change ” that is so needed , each one of us can contribute in a very real way to the resilience of our living planet .
Together , we have the potential to ensure that the future for Earth is one in which life thrives , in all of its surprising , beautiful , and unexpected ways .
