The history (story) of Beuchat all began in 1934,surrounded by the rocky coves near Marseille, on the Mediterranean coast in Southern France . It’s a fascinating story that begins with a keen underwater sportsman, Georges
Beuchat, and his desire to share his love and fascination of the underwater world to as wider audience as possible. What Georges Beuchat started 80 years ago, of course continues to this day, marked by development
and innovation that continues to leave an imprint on the lives of all who share Beuchat’s passion.
With the invention of the contemporary «isothermal» wetsuit, Beuchat and underwater diving took a giant step
forward into a new era, creating an unequivocal innovation that would notcompromise on quality. To this day all
our Beuchat products are designed in France and many are still made in our own workshops in Marseille.
Over and above our technical skills and our ability to innovate, it is the Beuchat spirit which makes the difference.
