delectable feasts to
kickstart the new year
Korean Cuisine with Chef Myeong joins a line-up
of programmes that the Asia Food Channel (AFC)
is offering this year.
SINGAPORE – The Asia Food Channel (AFC)
is serving up an eclectic mix of food shows
to kick off 2015.
This includes Real Girl’s Kitchen, which is
hosted by celebrity Haylie Duff and based
on her successful website and cookbook.
Real Girl’s Kitchen brings viewers into Duff’s
kitchen, where she shares recipes, stories and
adventures, and is a lifestyle docu-series that
blends Duff’s Hollywood life with her new
persona as a cookbook author and blogger.
The food hero makes a return as Donal
Skehan hosts the third season of Kitchen
Hero, bidding once again to show viewers
how easy it is to prepare delicious home-
cooked dishes. In Kitchen Hero 3, Skehan
goes on the road in a vintage van, visiting
festivals and gatherings across Ireland.
Lending an Asian touch is Award-winning
chef Myeong Hyeon-ji, whose Korean Cuisine
with Chef Myeong provides viewers a glimpse
of the world of tasty and authentic Korean
cuisine. Joined by special guests from diverse
cultures and backgrounds, every episode
of Myeong’s show promises a fun blend of
traditional recipes and English lessons.

Toonami channel
BANGKOK – Toonami, an all-adventure
kids channel offered by Turner Broadcast-
ing System Asia-Pacific, is now available to
11 million Thai households across cable and
satellite channels.
Launched last month, Toonami is broad-
cast in Thai and offers a programme line-up
packed with high-octane, top-rating animat-
ed series and movies.These include: Ben 10,
Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, Trans-
formers Prime, Wolverine and the X-Men and
Batman: The Brave and the Bold, as well as
a series of broadcast feature-length movies.

HONG KONG – Camp Lakebottom, a Cana-
dian animated series produced by 9 Story
Media Group, has been selected by Disney
Channels Asia to be broadcast throughout
Asia.
Premiered in Canada in 2013, Camp
Lakebottom follows the wacky adventures
of McGee, a preteen prankster who was
planning on having an awesome summer
at Camp Sunny Smiles until his bus took a
wrong turn and he ends up at run-down,
spooky Camp Lakebottom. There, McGee
finds a world surrounded by “killer” waves,
french “flies” and monster counsellors.
The series, which will be broadcast in
South-east Asia as well as South Korea,
Taiwan and Hong Kong, is already available
to viewers in the US, Ireland, Italy, Spain,
Portugal, Germany, France and Australia,
among others.
