TUESDAY 37
Cine Equipment
welcomes visitors to
its Open House
Cine Equipment, a distributor of
film, lighting, digital and broadcast
products in the Asian region, is hold-
ing an Open House on the sidelines
of BroadcastAsia2018, in order to
present the range of products the
company carries, which include cam-
eras, lenses, broadcast monitors and
post-production solutions.
At the Open House, which is held
from June 26-28 at the Ho Seng Lee
Flatted Warehouse in Singapore,
Cine Equipment is pushing full-frame
camera lenses into the limelight. For
instance, the company is hi1ghlight-
ing the Zeiss Supreme Prime lenses,
which is designed with the aim of
opening up new dimensions with
its cinematic large-format sensor
coverage. All lenses across the Zeiss
Supreme Prime family cover full
frame, and even bigger sensors with
an image circle of 46.2mm. The small
front diameter of 95mm on almost all
lenses and standardised positioning
of the focus and iris rings across the
whole family facilitate “fast and easy”
equipment change-out.
The lenses are also equipped with
the Zeiss eXtended Data technology,
which offers lens metadata that are
critical for VFX-intensive productions
and workflows on set. This technol-
ogy captures “frame-accurate” infor-
mation about focal length, focusing
distance, T-stop and depth-of-field,
providing users with “efficiency and
reliability” throughout the entire
production.
Alongside the Zeiss Supreme
Prime lenses, Cine Equipment is also
showcasing the Scorpiolens Ana-
morphic 2x lenses. Featuring full-
frame anamorphic, the Scorpiolens
Anamorphic 2x lenses provide the
same frontal diameter over the entire
focal range, and allow feet and metre
focus scales to be exchanged.
Completing Cine Equipment’s
full-frame lenses showcase at the
Open House is the Cooke S7/i Full
Frame Plus Primes, which are de-
signed to cover the full-frame cinema
camera sensors up to at least the full
sensor area of the Red Weapon 8K
camera, which features a 46.31mm
image circle.
Supporting film and digital cap-
ture of 35mm/Super 35mm formats,
full frame, VistaVision and beyond,
the S7/i lenses provide optical and
mechanical performance, control
of flare, distortion, veiling glare and
spherical aberrations at full aperture.
The S7/i lenses are available in focal lengths of
16mm, 18mm, 21mm, 25mm, 27mm, 32mm,
40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 100 and 135mm,
and are all supplied with i/Technology for lens
metadata capture.
To offer a deeper insight into these lenses,
Cine Equipment is also conducting the Cooke
Optics Seminar on June 27 from 11am-2pm.
At its Open House in Singapore, Cine Equipment is offering the Zeiss
Supreme Prime lenses that support cinematic large-format coverage, and
are equipped with the Zeiss eXtended Data technology for lens metadata
capture.
