@ConnecTechAsia2018 www.apb-news.com 26 June 2018 TUESDAY 33 Sennheiser taking a different spin at BroadcastAsia2018 In an attempt to address every audio challenge, Sennheiser is offering its digital wireless solutions, such as the Digital 6000 and Digital 9000 series, which has played a pivotal role in the success of several live events, includ- ing the Eurovision Song Contest, Grammy Awards and Brit Awards. Garry Tjhin, product manager, pro audio solutions, Sennheiser, explains: “With the changing frequency land- scape around the region, it results in lesser spectrum for wireless users to operate in. Sennheiser Digital 6000 system addresses this rapid change in the frequency landscape with its intermodulation-free capabilities. The system is spectral-efficient, easy to manage, and gives users more time to focus on other aspects of a live production.” Apart from its exhibition at booth 5D3-01 at NXTAsia, which is held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Sennheiser is also partnering four industry affiliates at BroadcastAsia2018 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The four affiliates are: A&L Systems at booth 6G3-01, Avid at booth 4T3-01, XN3 at booth 6E4-05, and Zoom at booth 6C1-01. Particularly at the Avid booth, visitors can see how Avid’s Venue digital mixing console software enhances live sound mixing, when paired with the Digital 6000 series. Fur thermore, visitors can also explore the integration of Avid’s Pro Tools pod with an audio expe- rience of the KH 80 DSP, a studio monitor with digital signal process- ing from Neumann, a subsidiary of Sennheiser. The KH 80 DSP is designed for recording, mixing and mastering in project, music, broadcasting and post-production studios. With the upcoming Neumann Control soft- ware scheduled for release later this year, the KH 80 DSP two-w ay near- field studio monitor will be able to fully calibrate itself to its immediate surroundings, says Sennheiser. Sennheiser has also augmented its AMBEO portfolio, which sees the company teaming up with several brands to offer a complete virtu- al reality (VR) production expe- rience within the framework of Sennheiser’s AMBEO for VR partner- ship programme. This programme has already seen a collaboration with Zoom, which has resulted in the compatibility of Zoom’s F8 and F4 multi-track field recorders with Sennheiser’s AMBEO VR Mic. The Zoom F8 and F4 offers gain-linking capability, allowing creators to adjust the gain on all four capsules of the Sennheiser AMBEO VR Mic “evenly and simultaneously” with one knob, thus helping users monitor and adjust audio levels when recording in the field. Tjhin concludes: “AMBEO VR Mic, a product that we have developed in line with our vision, is another key highlight at BroadcastAsia2018. As a brand leader in 3D immersive audio technology, we’ve seen an increase in adoption of immersive content creation. “There is a big demand now in utilising spatial audio to complement the storytelling process. Sennheiser has also partnered with several hard- ware manufacturers, such as Sound The KH 80 DSP near-field studio monitor from Neumann, a subsidiary of Sennheiser, is designed for recording, mixing and mastering in project, music, broadcasting and post-production studios. Devices and Zoom, to incorporate ambisonics recording features in their field mixers.” The IP KVM People 20180618_apb_bcashowguide_junior_takebackalif.indd 1 18/06/2018 09:56:46
