Embrionix set to provide

Denis Pare , vice-president of sales , Embrionix Design , explains why , with the right partner and solutions , the transition to IP need not be as daunting as it may appear to be .
Embrionix is exhibiting at the Ideal Systems booth , where it is providing the core system for an IP system demonstration with multiple partners . Can you tell us more about the demonstration , including its key objectives ? Denis Pare : Embrionix is part of Ideal System ’ s booth 6F4-04 and our solutions essentially form the core of a SMPTE ST2110 interoperability demonstration . Various manufacturers are exhibiting within the booth and everything is connected together via an IP network .
The Embrionix emMODULAR IP aggregator frame is used as the core , connecting to all products whether they are IP native or SDI . The em- MODULAR frame can be populated with compact 10 / 25Gb processing SFPs , allowing native IP signals to be interconnected or , alternatively , with emSFP gateways that can receive or transmit SDI signals .
The goal of this demonstration is to show that uncompressed IP deployment for production is possible today , even with a 4K / Ultra HD ( UHD ) 12Gb single stream .
The Embrionix emMODULAR facilitates 48 x ports of 25Gb , as well as 8x ports of 100Gb , permitting both HD / 3G and 4K / UHD ( single stream ) to be routed within the same environment . The demonstration features our recently introduced 25Gb emSFP gateway supporting 4K / UHD signals .
We are also displaying our SDR to HDR upconverter based on B <> com advanced processing algorithms .
Embrionix is committed to bridging the gap between HDMI monitors and IP signals . Our compact , standalone emVIEW converter accomplishes this task with elegance , fitting neatly on the back of the monitor while converting SMPTE ST2110 signals into HDMI .
And last but not least , that same standalone form factor can also provide a quad-split view to your HDMI monitor . The emQUAD generates a quad split view from 4x SMPTE ST2110 signals , and is a clever way to save space , and cable and fibre optical extenders .
Configuration and flow routing is managed and controlled by our emSET software . A third-party control system will demonstrate the control integration via Ember + BESS protocols .
