RTS shows off ROAMEO wireless keypanel

For all those looking for failurefree , professional intercoms , the new ROAMEO wireless intercom system from RTS ( booth 6H3-04 ) comes as an easy-to-use solution , providing high-quality audio and a large number of simultaneous uses across wide areas over a digital wireless beltpack and associated access points .
Featuring a modern rugged design , ROAMEO is suitable for a wide range of professional intercom applications where wireless communication is critical . Applications include broadcast production studios , theatre and sports event productions , houses of worship , commercial buildings and outside the smallest enclosure in its class , and is protected against dust and light rain .”
The company has addressed the problem of users requiring a new integrated wireless intercom system , but loath to replace existing equipment . The solution is to connect a digital wireless intercom system to the existing matrix of the ROAMEO .
The access points are connected to the ADAM or ADAM-M matrices through the use of an OMNEO matrix interface card ( OMI ), a Dante-compatible solution for high-quality , low-latency audio over IP .
The OMI card can also be used for both wired keypanels and wireless backpack connections to the matrix .

Ross Video is showcasing 11 new solutions at BroadcastAsia2017 and Andrew Tan , the company ’ s director of Sales , APAC , is drawing attention to three of his favourite solutions .
First is the Furio SE , the nextgeneration Furio robotic camera system . The SE ’ s dolly and lift have been completely re-designed to improve performance , robustness and reliability while making it safer to operate .
The new system comes with more than 40 new features , enhancements and performance improvements .
The carbon-fibre lift is also more than 20 % taller than the original lift , says Tan , offering 50 % greater extension range , without broadcast ( OB ) trucks .
The system is user-friendly and can be easily configured in a multi-language set-up via scroll lists on the TR-1800 beltpack , or by using the control software AZedit , which allows users to configure the complete intercom system on a single screen .
“ The four talk-listen buttons are shaped differently and provide users with a tactile feedback ,” says Dr Fredrik Borjesson , senior product manager of the Minnesota-based Bosch Security Systems , of which RTS is a constituent division .

increasing weight or sacrificing rigidity .
Tan adds that in terms of pricing , customers would pay less for the new SE compared to the pricing of the previous Furio systems .
The other new product to check out is the Mira Express — a budgetfriendly version of the “ powerful and proven ” Mira Replay system .
Mira Express is a fully integrated replay system that records video and audio from up to four cameras onto removable SSD media , with slow-motion replay from two PGM channels .
With just the right set of principal features required in live replay workflows built in , Mira Express benefits from the replay control surface and intuitive user interface as the premium Abekas Mira Replay system .
Thirdly , Ross is displaying the Graphite , its latest complete all-inone production solution .

“ The greatest plus point of ROAMEO is its portability ,” says Dr Borjesson . “ It has a colour display ; and , once charged , it gives you 17 hours of talk time .
“ Of course , you must remember , it is not a Wi-Fi system , but one based on DECT ( digital enhanced cordless telecommunications ); and you can only use it for voice .”
Other major plus points are that it comes licence-free , and has a standardised frequency band . The company is currently taking orders , and the products will be ready for shipment this July .
3D motion graphics , two channels of clip server , and the newly developed RAVE audio engine ; all within a single 4RU chassis .
Priced under US $ 40,000 , Tan says the Graphite can be used as an “ all-in-one ” or the components can be separated and used remotely under a single box .
Graphite contains the complete features of a Carbonite switcher , including two MEs with five keyers each , four MiniME processors with two keyers each , four floating DVEs , two UltraChrome chroma keyers , two advanced pattern generators per ME , and four channels of MediaStore .
