Quick navigation to key
broadcast offerings
With the broadcasting landscape continuing to transform itself,
content is now available not only on linear TV sets, but on-demand
on other platforms and screens as well. Today, over-the-top (OTT)
video subscribers number more than 500 million — and with the
entry of disruptive players such as Netflix in Asia, coupled with
demanding consumers, the broadcast industry now faces profound
challenges in managing OTT, digital media asset management,
video delivery, monetisation of content and other operational
matters.
Thus, broadcasters need to be more informed about all available
technologies that could enhance not only their content production
workflows, but also media delivery platforms that they can tap, in
order to increase eyeballs and eventually their revenues.
This is why Asian broadcasters are flocking to major
technology shows in the region such as BroadcastAsia2016 and
CommunicAsia2016. It is at trade shows such as these that they
get updated on the latest trends in media and entertainment. It is
also the place for them to see actual demonstrations of innovative
solutions, as well as an opportunity to engage manufacturers in
discussions on how best their solutions can help them to improve
their existing workflows.
And as attending major trade shows requires a bit of navigation,
we have once again decided to publish the APB Products &
Services, which features key broadcast technology manufacturers
and their latest technology offerings at the two trade shows in
Singapore.
This year’s APB Products & Services offers broadcasters a bigger
picture of what solutions, ranging from camera lens, tripods,
media asset management solutions to audio/video production
systems, will be available in the Asian marketplace. So do take
the time to go through this supplement, and be assured of
attending BroadcastAsia2016 armed with some insights into what
manufacturers are highlighting at their booths.
