KUALA LUMPUR – Oh!K, a new South Korean entertainment channel from Turner Broadcasting, is now available on Astro in Malaysia. The HD channel offers audiences the best of Korean drama and variety pro- gramming, with selected series airing less than a day after their initial transmission date. The availability of Oh!K in Malaysia fol- lows carriage deals in Singapore with Singtel TV in January this year and StarHub TV last October, when the channel was officially launched in South-east Asia. Astro subscribers can enjoy Oh!K in HD, with English and Chinese subtitles as well as audio options in the original Korean lan- guage, and selected programmes dubbed in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. Agnes Rozario, VP, Content Management Group, Astro, said: “Oh!K will broadcast shows on the same day as Korea ... We’re confident that this new HD channel will be well received by our customers watching on TV or [Astro On-The-Go] on desktop, tablet or smartphone.” n Zee TV taps its feet with local flavour SINGAPORE – Dance fans in Singapore will be treated to a dance-based reality show, when Dance Singapore Dance makes its debut on StarHub TV later this year. Dance Singapore Dance is a spin-off of India’s largest dance-based reality show Dance India Dance, which made its debut in 2009. Since then, the show has seen about 90,000 participants over its past four editions. Jeannie Ong, chief marketing officer at StarHub, enthused: “As an avid nurturer of local talents, we hope that Dance Singa- pore Dance will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for dancers in Singapore to showcase their nifty footwork and enliven the arts scene here.” Catch Dance Singapore Dance on Zee TV (StarHub TV Channel 125), Sensasi (StarHub TV Channel 123) and Zee Tamizh (StarHub TV Channel 138) in the second quarter of this year.
