Ashish Khemchandani - Selected works, 2012-16 Architectural Portfolio | Page 2

“ Architecture, like everything else, is in a process of constant evolution. From the timber and mud buildings of the earliest civilization, it has transformed (evolved?) into the concrete, steel and glass buildings of the post-modern era. The evolution has come at a cost, one that very soon might prove to be unaffordable to the planet. Evolution is inevitable. Despite the cost and consequences, it will forever go on for the better or worse, and my desire and focus is to be a part of that evolution, embrace it instead of attempting to resist it; further it, contribute to it, and to the extent of my limited capacity and potential, attempt to bring it to a better path. One that can be sustained by an individual, the humanity, and by the planet. This portfolio features some of my experiments within architecture through the course of my architectural education and professional practice so far. It is also my attempt to showcase an approach to architecture and an attempt to evolve that approach through the course of my experiments.
