AGHCF is located at 401 North Medical Drive, Ash Grove, MO 65604 417-751-2575 Residents of the Month, Ronald Gribben Ronald Gribben was born March 29, 1946, to parents Rodney and Carolyn Gribben in Youngstown, Ohio. Ronald has one sister, Carol DeSaull of Borden, Ohio. Ronald graduated from Boardman High School in 1964 then attended Pittsburg Art Institute graduating in 1966. He then at- tended Central Bible College graduating in 1991 with his Bachelors Degree in Mis- sions and Bible. Ronald met Charlotte Gould and they married May 8, 1971, in Boardman, Ohio. They lived in Columbiana, Ohio, and then later moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1987. The couple have celebrated 48 years of marriage. They have 3 children; Eric Gribben and Amanda of Springfield, Amy and Jim Walters of Walnut Grove, Mis- souri, and S.S.G. Aaron Gribben currently serving in the National Guard in Spring- field. Ronald’s occupations include Die Setter at Youngstown Steel Door Co. making train doors, Borden Dairy for 6 years, making cottage cheese, Central Bible College grounds keeper for 23 years and Evangel University for 3 years custodian until retirement in 2013. He served for 27 years in Springfield Healthcare as a dedi- cated volunteer and won the Most Dedi- cated Volunteer Award as well as the Commitment to Service Award. After he retired they created the Prestigious Ron Gribben Service Award they now give to deserving volunteers. During 27 years volunteering, he gave 5 hours every Sun- day morning helping to serve breakfast, visiting the residents, worship leader, pianist and teaching Bible Classes. Ronald’s hobbies included traveling to 43 states, collecting 400 model cars and tinkering with old auto’s. His favorite song is “I’ll Fly Away.” He enjoys eating pizza and Twinkies, and playing the pi- ano. Congratulations, Ron, for being chosen as the resident of the month. The Employee of the Month for September has yet to be determine. The individual who is selected will be featured in the October edition of the Rocking Chair News.
