Resident of the Month,
Ralph Wyman
Ralph Wy-
man was born
on Oct. 5,
1935, to
parents Hattie
and Richard
Wyman in
Long Island,
N.Y. Ralph
had three sis-
ters and one
bother.
Ralph at-
tended Lindsey Hopkins Vocational
School and graduated in 1954. The trade
school enabled him to get started in his life
long occupation as a dental technician and
Dental Lab owner.
He married Anne (Lang) Wyman on
Jan. 27, 1956, and has celebrated 61 years
of marriage. The couple lived in Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla. and had three children;
Christi Kenny of Cooper City, Fla.; Dr.
Brett Wyman, dentist, of Springfield, Mo.;
and Lynda Vivas of Willard, Mo. The cou-
ple have seven grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Ralph is a veteran, and he served the
U.S.A. in the National Guard during the
Korean Conflict from 1955 - 1970s in the
Medical Dental Unit.
He is involved in the Dental Lab Asso-
ciation of Florida which he started with
the Republican Party Campaign Execu-
tive Committee. Ralph served on the
Brower County School board in the 1970s
and went to Washington, D.C. on the anti-
busing movement. The couple moved
from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to Rural Spring-
field, Mo., 20 years ago. He served as a
chairman on the homeowners association
for 18 years at the Villa Meadows subdi-
vision. Ralph attended the American Le-
gion Post 639 in Springfield, Mo. He and
Anne attended the Willard Common
Ground Church.
Ralph’s hobbies include watching car
racing and ball games, listening to music,
fishing and hunting, reading, playing pok-
er, horseshoes, van rides, and family
events.
