Resident of the Month,
Lois Gray
Mable Carney was born May 20,
1932, to parents Clyde and Bertha
Bowlare, in Crocker, Mo. Mable has
six brothers and two sisters: Larry,
Bob, Wayne, Don, Melvin, Gene,
Evelyn and Marie. She married
James Carney on May 31, 1952, and
together they have a family of four
children, five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. James passed
away in 1982.
Mable’s occupations included
working at the Springfield City Hall,
a drug store waitress, and then she
was the first employee at Cloth
World in Springfield, Mo., working
there for several years.
Mable’s hobbies include making
cloth dolls and teddy bears. She even
made her daughters wedding dress.
She loved her pets, a Pomeranian
dog named Sandy, and a little Chi-
huahua named Chico. Mabel likes
baseball games, watching car racing
and movies. She enjoys listening to
country and gospel music. She likes
to collect red bird cardinal figurines
and angels. Her favorite flowers are
roses and her favorite place to eat
was Ziggies.
Mabel loves spending time with
her family in Crocker, Mo., and va-
cationing in Branson with her chil-
dren.

Facility’s Employee of the Month
for February. The Employee of the
Month for March has yet to be determine.
