Resident of the Month,
James Compton
James Compton was born Dec. 18, 1938,
to parents Dalton and Maggie Compton of
Dadeville ,Mo. James had nine siblings. He
attended Dadeville School. James grew up
working on the family farm.
James met and married Estes in 1966.
Together the couple have a family of three
children and three grandchildren.
James was a farmer. He also enjoyed
making money as a watch repairer. His
travels have taken him to California and
Texas. He is a member of Guys Chapel
Church in Willard, Mo.
As a resident of Ash Grove Healthcare
Facility he enjoys playing bingo, checkers,
dominoes, horseshoes, basket ball and
volleyball. His hobbies include collecting
old coins, playing bridge, fishing, going out
to eat, his favorite meal is fried chicken and
ham! He loves singing gospel and country
music. James is a proud owner of a 1962
Chevy pickup.
