Resident of the Month,
William Edwards
William Edwards was born July 4,
1925, to parents Willie and Bessie Ed-
wards of Brookline, Mo. He has two broth-
ers and two sisters. He attended the Fair
Grove and Elkland schools through the
11th grade.
William met and married Beverland
Fells in 1956. Together, they had celebrat-
ed 61 years of marriage until she passed
away in 2007. The couple had a family of
three children, four grandchildren and sev-
eral great-grandchildren.
William served his country during the
Korean peace time working as an engineer.
When he returned home to Ash Grove, he
began a career working at the Ash Grove
Lumber Yard and was there for 40 years.
He was in the American Legion, VFW as
well as serving in the Masonic Lodge for
60 years.
William’s hobbies include his dog,
Rags, gardening and quail hunting. He and
Beverland enjoyed the Branson Shows. He
also likes watching all the ball games. He
attended the Methodist Church in Ash
Grove, lending a hand in doing whatever
needed to be done.
William’s travels have taken him to

Grove Healthcare Facility’s
June Employee of the Month.
The Employee of the Month
for July has yet to be determined.
The individual who is selected
will be featured in the August
edition of the Rocking Chair
News.
Korea and California, where he got to see
the Redwood Forest! William and Bever-
land also went to see the Grand Canyon
and Las Vegas, while traveling in their
RV.
William enjoys visits with his family
and friends while he resides at Ash Grove
Healthcare Facility. Congratulations for
being chosen as the resident of the month!
