Resident of the Month,
William Baker
William Abner Baker was born
Feb. 22,1936, to William and Beulah
Baker of Rushville, Mo. William grew
up with seven siblings and attended
Stuartsville School.
He met Agnes Sprague and they
were married on July 25, 1954. The
couple were blessed with seven
children: James, Mark, John, Sarah
Pringle, Martha Parnell, Mary Brashwell
and Matthew. Sadly, after years of marriage, Agnes passed away.
In March 2010, after moving to
AGHCF, William met Dorothy Kenal.
The couple were married in a small
ceremony on Sept. 11, 2010, in the
AGHCF dining room.
William has worked various jobs
throughout his life. He owned and
operated the Auto Magic Carwash in
Springfield, was a Culligan Man, and
worked for Youngblood Automotive.
Eventually he relocated to Oilton, Okla.,
where he operated his own auto garage,
a trade that he had taught himself.

William’s hobbies include playing
guitar and singing country and gospel
music. He also enjoys fishing, boating,
skiing and spending time with his
family. William is a member of the
Southern Baptist Church.
Congratulations Bill, for being
chosen as Ash Grove Healthcare
Facility’s Resident of the Month.
