ASH Medical Educators Institute
Develops Future Leaders
The American Society of Hematology (ASH) Medical Educators Institute (MEI) develops future leaders
in hematology education through a dynamic “boot camp” of teaching techniques, medical education
scholarship, and career development.
The institute is open to hematologists looking to launch medical education careers, including third
and fourth year fellows, and junior faculty.
After completing three core activities – a three-day workshop, a curriculum-extending series of
webinars, and a scholarly project with an accomplished mentor – MEI participants will have the skills
and connections necessary to further a career in medical education.
Applications are due March 30. Visit hematology.org/MEI to learn more and apply.
“During fellowship, I naturally developed an interest in research and how
to apply that to medical education. I found this workshop particularly
useful and complementary in that it provided me with the tools to make
educational projects successful, and helped teach me how to use those
tools. This is a must-attend workshop for anyone interested in medical
education.”
