Session Description: Drs. Rivers and Yui, current ASH
Medical Educators Institute (MEI) participants, will discuss
their capstone projects, the culminating academic experience
during the MEI program. Their projects focused on cuttingedge
teaching techniques including the development of
an outpatient pediatric hematology curriculum and the
improvement and assessment of educational conferences
in benign hematology. Drs. Rivers and Yui will describe their
challenges, lessons learned, and use of best practices during
the design and implementation of their respective projects.
They will also share their journey through the MEI program
and the positive influence it had on their careers.
