asfACTS Volume 53 Issue 1 | Page 2

asfACTS Editor’s Note Finally, I thought I would never see the day that I finally got done producing this newsletter, but it is finished. Greetings in the name of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. “It is finished” lol, reminds me of Good Friday but that’s a story for another day. Imagine a blank page before you, from it you are supposed to create a whole newsletter. A lot goes into a newsletter especially if one has never played with glitter or had a course in arts and crafts. There are layouts to create, colours to pick out, fonts, topics of interest and other stuff like that. For a 53 year old publication I was rather disappointed that there is no template to work from, not even a standard logo, you are told “do what thou wilt” and off you go… anyways enough about me complaining. You would have to be in my shoes to know who I feel. I have learnt a lot about the ASF in the making of this newsletter, its genesis, its people and the organisation at large. Oh and a big thank you to all the people who made this possible, its unfortunate that only I get a big picture of myself and everyone else gets a little mention, but wouldn’t you agree with me that its a beautiful pic? I hope you enjoy the read and I hope I will be a little more modest in my next issue, but until then God Bless Page 2
