This musical-drama by artist Somtow
Sucharitkul is a new stylistic fusion,
designed for a cast of dancers and singers
and a large symphony orchestra combined
with classical Thai instruments. The
performance – being restaged this month,
after a successful run in August – is
inspired in equal parts by classical Thai
dance drama, opera, ballet, and ancient
Thai temple murals. Evening performances
begin at 8pm, and the matinee shows begin
at 2pm.

Organized by UBM Asia, the inaugural Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair
features a stellar cast of prominent jewelers from close to 30 countries.
Together they will be showcasing exquisite collections of fine jewelry – from
lustrous pearls to precious gemstones, rare diamonds and antique pieces.
And although the fair is targeted towards international trade visitors, the
public is also welcomed to feast their eyes on these fine baubles and

October Art Exhibitions, 2013

October is another busy month at the BACC with 3 major exhibitions running
simultaneously. The 59th National Exhibition of Art continues until October
27 (Main Gallery, 9th floor), while What Resort: The Landscape of the Art
Room begins October 4 and continues until November 24 (Main Gallery,
8th floor), with an opening reception on Thursday October 3rd at 6:30pm.
Finally Re-Think: Art Exhibition for Reduce “Waste” Renew “Think”
continues until November 17 (Main Gallery, 7th floor).
