About Ascendancy Magazine

I've been asked about Ascendancy Magazine and why I work with so many young models at nominal fees and some times for free. I will say that I enjoy photography and I also enjoy working with people. I began working with models when a young man, actually one of my students and I were talking over some coffee after class. We talked about what were some of his goals and one thing that he told me was his desire to be a model. I just understood the drive of a dream and no one to help you reach it. I had just acquired some new equippment after my previous equippment was stolen.

I agreed to set up a photo shoot with him on one condition, which was he had to work hard and allow me to train him in posing and a few other skills in modeling. As a young man I also had pursued a modeling career but found martial arts much more invigorating and satisfying. He agreed and the rest is history.

It was then that I decided to help young models to prepare for their dreams. My company is diversified and photography is only one arm of that business.

Ascendancy is the result of working with models. I saw that many new models would never get the exposure unless they had a platform that could give them a chance. Ascendancy is all about the up and coming model. With our trained and seasoned team we help to train those that we work with from a photographers point of view so the models will know what photographers expect.
