International Expansion T ravel Leaders has announced a major international expansion for the organization. Dozens of major travel agencies from Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia have become new members of the network. Many of these new international partners are the largest travel agency in their respective countries. This expansion quickly transforms Travel Leaders into a robust international player in the managed travel sector. Combined, the network now has agency representation in over 60 countries. The increased international coverage allows Travel Leaders to service companies with travel volume in the $100 million range that need continuity of service as their employees travel around the globe. “The addition of this group of international agencies enables Travel Leaders to service multi-national travel fulfillment contracts backed by one of the largest networks in the world. I’m glad to be working with this robust team of top-level professional travel agencies and will be adding more regional coverage to our organization over the coming year,” said Angeles Yugdar, SVP of International Markets for Travel Leaders, who is leading the expansion efforts and overseeing the new regional team members. Other global travel management companies tend to organize themselves with a main headquarters where all of the decisions and strategy are also based. Regional partner markets are not as involved in business decisions. In contrast, Travel Leaders has decentralized key positions from our main headquarters. Sales directors are deployed in every region and this configuration allows the support for a global organization while giving local partners the flexibility to create regional opportunities. Our main office and regional teams operate very differently from other TMC’s. We’ve combined coverage and flexibility in a way that no other travel management company can offer. “We are currently signing an exclusive Travel Leaders partner in key countries around the globe where our customers need us to be. We are engaging partners who can offer a full portfolio of corporate, leisure and events services and are recognized in their country and by their peers as service-oriented, successful agencies,” said Roger E. Block, CTC, president of Travel Leaders Network. Clients will be serviced by local agencies who are leaders in their markets providing premium corporate travel services that are supported by our vast array of technology solutions. Members will be able to support both international accounts and local customers through Travel Leaders’ end-to- end technology suite that provides client management, online trip authorization, data consolidation and analytics, meetings technology and customer reporting tools. Our new international member agencies will also have access to Travel Leaders’ comprehensive resources. These include the company’s extensive hotel program, including its highly-curated SELECT Hotels & Resorts collection, its network of international destination companies and access to education and training resources. Compared to other travel management companies with aging technology solutions, our suite of technology tools is very agile and modern. Travel Leaders has continued to increase its distance from other competitors by adding to its industry-leading products and services like: ∙ ∙ CARE, an innovative 3rd party Duty of Care solution to help corporations keep their business travelers secure and informed around the globe; ∙ ∙ Business Travel Insights, which uses streams of travel data to create easy-to-understand, quick to action, personalized dashboards for travel managers and business executives; and ∙ ∙ Travel Leaders has partnered with YES to create a unique and comprehensive Meetings & Events offering in order to support our clients.
