Meet The New Region 1 Governor

Stephanie Wyman , P . E . is a Civil Engineer with VHB working in their South Burlington , VT office . A New Hampshire native , Stephanie attended the University of Vermont where she received her B . S . in Environmental Engineering in 2011 . Upon graduation , Stephanie accepted a position with Civil & Environmental Consultants , Inc . in Sayre , PA . In 2013 , Stephanie relocated to Portland , Maine where she worked as a Civil Engineer with Milone & MacBroom focusing her work on transportation and traffic engineering as well as resiliency planning studies for sea-level rise . Once in Maine , Stephanie immediately became a member of the Maine section of ASCE where she took on the role as co-editor for the monthly newsletter ‘ The Informant ’. From there she spent three years as a board member acting as New England Delegate for two years , Director , Younger Member Treasurer , Diversity Chair and served on the Finance Committee . Stephanie returned to Vermont in 2017 and accepted a position as Civil Engineer in the Land Development department with VHB . Most of her work is focused on the Energy Market where she works on the design and permitting for commercial scale ground mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems . She is also involved with commercial and residential engineering projects specializing in utility and stormwater design and has experience working with VTrans on stormwater retrofit projects along the Interstate 89 corridor . Upon her return to Vermont , she joined the Vermont ASCE board and has served as Secretary , President-Elect and President . In December 2021 she was appointed as Region 1 Governor where she will provide support for the New Hampshire , Maine , and Vermont sections of ASCE . In addition to her work with ASCE , Stephanie sits on the Development Review Board for the City of South Burlington and is a member of the Vermont Society of Engineers and New England Women in Energy and the Environment .
