Dr. Choyce, how has it been to see Dr Luu progress?
It’ s been immensely gratifying to see her capabilities and confidence grow. Not only is she now able to safely anesthetise
infants, she has put a lot of time and effort into improving services and safety at Da Nang Eye Hospital. She has done a
great job and it's a real pleasure seeing someone’ s skills develop to the point that they join us as an international
volunteer.
Dr. Luu is very dedicated to her work, she works in a small department and she's the only anesthetist. It means that when
she takes on a more difficult case - and often pediatric cases are more challenging, she doesn't have the back up of a
larger hospital. She needs to have a g
