AsBAA in Action - In Case You Missed It! AsBAA in action-Easter Special_v2 | 页面 2

It has now been six months since the Vice Chairmen and I were elected into position as the AsBAA Board of Directors for a two-year period. In this relatively short period of time, I am proud to report back to our members that the association has been exponentially active under our three work pillars of Advocacy, Representation and Community. These pillars represent more than simply slogans; they are the cornerstone of the work that AsBAA is driving to ensure that the business and general aviation industry in Asia grows, develops and thrives. Making this a reality has been an effort strengthening our Regional Chapters; moving away from a centralised model to a localised one that can meet the needs of our members in the diverse group of countries that we operate in. Last month, we identified the Board of Governors so that our members know whom they can contact in each location. We have also formed a stronger, deeper China Committee that has been active in the last month in the areas of: Women in Aviation, Education and Careers, Government Lobbying and building up the B2B network. This is timely in the run up to ABACE, which AsBAA will co-host with our fellow IBAC association, NBAA for the fourth consecutive year. AsBAA’ s primary role in the show is to help leverage our local network of experts to build up the Education Programme which is made up of a series of industry topics on days one and two and the student and careers day on day three of the show. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of the AsBAA members that will share their expertise and insight as part of the ABACE Education Programme. We are very much looking forward to engaging with our members, stakeholders, students and the media at ABACE. You will find us at booth H1402 which is located next to the Opening Session Area. I am honoured to be included in the VIP elements of the show which includes a walk-around of the static and VIP dinner on Monday 16th April and the Opening Sessions on 17th April. I have also made appointments to visit a number of our members at the show and I very much look forward to this too. On behalf of the team of volunteers at AsBAA, I take this opportunity to wish all our members and the wider business and general aviation community a very successful ABACE2018. See you in Shanghai and at the AsBAA Booth H1402! AsBAA March 2018 www.asbaa.org in Action Jenny Lau Chairperson Not yet a member of AsBAA? Join us! Your Association Needs YOU!
