AsBAA Discovery

AsBAA Discovery is excited to add the Hong Kong Aviation Academy to its list of educational
partners. The program has seen significant growth and activity since ABACE17, and we are working
to continue expanding our coverage around Asia. Jay Lopez, from INEAC in the Philippines, has
been assisting to get Discovery up and running there. AsBAA Discovery will also be following the
progress of Max Motchmann’ s son, Mio, who is undergoing ultralight flying lessons at the age of 8
and who is very passionate and dedicated to learning to become a pilot. Mio will help serve as a
mascot and attend Discovery Days when visiting students of a similar age to inspire a passion for our
industry. The months leading up to ABACE18 have been busy
creating the agenda and confirming speakers for Day 3’ s student
visit and NBAA’ s ‘Careers in Business Aviation’ sessions. We
look forward to seeing you there and thank you to all who are
helping dedicate their time and resources for the event.
New Internships, Professional Development and Jobs Page Launched!
We are excited to launch our new Internships, Education and Jobs page to AsBAA members. Here you will find details of
upcoming courses such as: Airport Risk and Business Continuity Management; Manmade Threats; Airport Risk and
Business Continuity Management Risk Register; Introduction to Aeronautical Information Management and many more.
You will also find details of internships and career openings, offered through AsBAA Discovery. AsBAA Discovery Bridges
the gap between NextGen talent and the industry. We help to inspire young people into a career in business and general
aviation. We also make connections between students, graduates and those looking for their first opportunity in the
industry. We encourage our members to share the details of their opportunities with AsBAA. The service is complimentary
