From SKILL DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

When reflecting on my experience as a SDE for almost 5 years, there have been so many challenges, so many celebrations and so much that I have learned. I have been pushed beyond my comfort zone many a times.

I have learned the importance of having an open mind. You have a batch of students which is a mix of various ranges. Some may be shy and introvert, some may be restless and hyperactive, and some may be smart. So one single strategy will not help and you need to have your own ways and approaches ranging in various levels, keeping the interests of all the learners intact, which has always been challenging. When creating lessons, I needed to prepare to be flexible because you never know what's going to come up and what will catch our students' attention. I have also learned that there is value in learning about what you do not want to do as a SDE just as much as learning what you want to do. It is so important to continue being open minded so that you can leave room to keep growing as a trainer!
