MILESTONES : GHSS MEENANGADI
Government Higher Secondary School Meenangadi has acquired tremendous achievement in both academic and extracurricular fields in the district of Wayanad. The school which has been raised to high school in 1958 and higher secondary in 1997 has 1820 students from primary level to high school and 617 in higher secondary. Among these students 65 % are from SC/ST and Back ward sections. This school has the maximum number of students who attends plus two examinations and SSLC examinations in the district of Wayanad.
Since 2010 GHSS Meenangadi is able to achieve 95 % success in both SSLC and HSE. From 2007 the school has been able to achieve 100 % success among Commerce and Science and 90% in Humanities.
GHSS Meenangadi is also known for its contribution to Sports sector of the district. The school has won the overall district sports championship a record 17 times.
